DR. LINDSAY WHISHER

  Dr. Lindsay Whisher grew up in Albany NY. She studied two years at the University of New Hampshire, transferred to Cornell University and graduated with a BS in biology (concentration in neurobiology and animal behavior). She did a pre-veterinary Internship at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, caring for injured wildlife and assisting in the care for zoo animals. Dr. Whisher received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2008. After graduation, she worked for 5 years in private practices in Fairfax, Virginia and then in Columbus, Ohio.She joined Wind Lake in 2013. She loves private practice for the many different disciplines it offers, but her particular interests include Preventitive Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, and Oncology.

  When not at work, Dr. Whisher enjoys hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing, boating, and volleyball. She also loves to travel. She lives with her husband, John, who is also a veterinarian, her loveable Labrador retriever named Logan and two hilarious cats, Riley and Finley (who also believe they are Labradors).
