Geriatric (Senior Pet) Services

Humans and animals do not age at the same rate, and the health of your pet can change rapidly in a short period of time.  Because animals cannot speak to us, these changes can go unnoticed.  The risks of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, arthritis and metabolic disease increase with age.  The purpose of screening apparently healthy pets is to establish a baseline for future comparison and to detect hidden or sub-clinical abnormalities at a time when preventative intervention will have the greatest benefit. 

Due to advances in veterinary care, we have more treatment options available from new prescription diets to arthritis medications and chemotherapies.  Our goal is to extend the life of your pet, and to make these extended years as happy and healthy as possible.
